Ahh, updates I knew I forgot something.

Well it has been a little bit, but I realized that I had neglected to update the site with the good news when it happened, so better late than never.
After a nice two weeks of downtime I got called back to LookFX to pitch in on the new Arnofsky feature Black Swan. Details aside I am very happy to be back with a great team of artists, working on a fun project.
Amazingly I have also managed to keep up and actually get out and about about slowly developing something of a fledgeling social life.
I had my mother out for her annual 2 week vacation between the normal school year and teaching summer school. And things went well, and had a good time.
I don’t know yet how long my current projects will be for, but as always I’m going to put in my full effort and enjoy the work and team I’m with as long as I can.

Down Time Again

// May 25th, 2010 // No Comments » // Bulletins

Well I have wrapped up my current gig at Look FX, and have enjoyed a week or so of relaxing and catching up on my sleep.

I am really happy with the reactions that I have been hearing around the net for both the Pacific & the series ending of Lost. I consider myself quite lucky to have been able to have worked on such great projects with such great teams.

I am updating my reel and resume, and they should be up on the site shortly. And while I do enjoy the down time, I am already looking around to see what projects are ramping up and might need folk to pitch in. Granted that process may take time, but better to start early looking around, and seeing whats what.

What I’ve been up to

Well it has been a bit  since I updated folks to what I was doing, and with the weekend upon me, I thought it was about time.

I am greatly enjoying the current airing of “The Pacific” on HBO, my small amount of work in the first episode, along with my name in the credits on screen was a blast, and now I eagerly await the further episodes that I worked on to air.

Currently I am busy at work at Look FX, with some amazing people, working on a few projects. I was a bit circumspect when I first started but after checking that it wasn’t a big deal, and with some IMDB updates posting any time now … I figured it wouldn’t hurt to say whats what.

Primarily I have been working on episodes of the final season of LOST, with 4 aired episodes so far containing shots of mine, which as a fan of the show from the first season, is a real thrill. No I don’t know anything, no I can’t spoil anything. Even with the little that I see while I am working each new episode as it airs, is still a new discovery.

I have also been working on some upcoming episodes of Bones, with my bits airing after they hit the 100 episode milestone next week.

Another show that I have actually followed, so I seem to be on a roll for getting to pitch in however small on shows that I have enjoyed.

All in all I am feeling quite well about the work that I am doing, and the contributions that I am making, something that with all that is going on today, makes me feel quite good about the course that I set for myself years ago. I have managed to get to a point that I have been over the past few years working on projects that are incredible, with great people, and I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon. (knock on wood).

New Gig

// February 13th, 2010 // No Comments » // Bulletins

Well it has now been a week at my new gig, and it has been going well. The pace is different from my previous gigs, but it is invigorating and I am really enjoying the work environment.

I will update as things progress, but for now, I am enjoying the work that I have in front of me.

HBO website update.

With the airing of The Pacific coming up on us, it looks like HBO has just recently updated their website to show off more of what they are doing with the production, with behind the scenes promo’s and information

Aside from the fact that I worked on it, as a fan of  Band of Brothers, I am looking forward to seeing how it all came together.

Still hunting, feeling positive.

Well the holidays are over.

They went well, family seems to be doing good and for once in a long time, I didn’t really get any reports of any drama. Something to always be thankful for in any family.

The job hunt progresses, I have been sending out more to places that seem to be looking, but it is once again the issue of the rollarcoaster ride that is the Film industry and production schedules. With the holiday and new years over I am hoping, and feeling confident, that studios will now be gearing up for new projects, which means my oportunites will expand.

Unlike last time I was in this situation, I have more experience under my belt, and am much more confident in my abilities. I think that this comes across in my work, and will mean less trouble with the process, but that’s what it is, a process.
